Inbound Compliance Guidelines for Efficient Warehouse Receiving
To ensure your goods are received efficiently and without delay, it is essential that all inbound shipments comply with our warehouse requirements. Non-compliant shipments may result in delays, additional handling charges, and disruptions to your fulfillment operations and those of other clients.
Product Compliance Requirements
Before your products leave the factory, please ensure they are prepared to meet warehousing standards. Proper packaging and labeling are critical to maintaining product integrity and ensuring a smooth flow through the supply chain.
Key Requirements:
Fragile or loose items must be securely packaged to prevent damage during handling and transit.
Clothing and soft goods must be individually bagged or appropriately protected.
Barcodes must be clearly visible on the outside of each product’s packaging for easy scanning.
Ensure all barcodes are correct and free of printing or labeling errors.
Avoid using packaging that is easily damaged, dented, or marked under normal warehouse handling conditions.
Each vendor is fully responsible for ensuring that all products are adequately protected and ready for warehousing. Fulfillable is not liable for damage or delays caused by insufficient or improper packaging.
Reminder: A single product may be handled by 10–15 people throughout its journey from production to the end customer. Packaging must be designed to endure this level of handling without compromising the product.
Shipping from Factory to Fulfillable Warehouse
Once your products are ready to ship, please follow these instructions to ensure a seamless receiving process at our warehouse:
Pallet Shipments
Only use pallet sizes that meet our warehouse standards. Refer to our Pallet Compliance Guide if needed.
Advance Shipment Notice (ASN)
You must generate and submit an accurate ASN Or Shipping Plan for every shipment to the destination warehouse.
Provide the ASN to your supplier, who must attach a copy of the ASN document to each delivery unit—pallet, carton, or container.
Shipments containing mixed SKUs must be clearly labeled
Fulfillable will receive goods either carton-by-carton or unit-by-unit for mixed SKU shipments. Proper labeling is essential to avoid delays and misprocessing.
While we do not currently enforce a carton contents label, it is good practice to implement as it speeds up the receiving time.
Important Notice
Failure to comply with these inbound requirements may result in:
Delays in receiving your goods
Additional charges for rework or corrections
Unidentified ASN surcharges
Following these guidelines helps us maintain an efficient and accurate fulfillment process for your business and all clients.
